Louisiana Climate Action Plan Overview with LEED AP Jeff Wilke
April 28, 2022
The Louisiana Climate Action Plan is the first-of-its-kind in the Gulf South.
This Action Plan was approved by Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edward's Climate Initiatives Task Force in late January 2022 with overall goal of reaching net zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in Louisiana by 2050 and with an action plan consisting of 28 strategies and 84 specific actions for increasing the overall climate health of the state. View in detail here.
As a LEED AP working in investment commercial real estate in the Gulf South, I am very excited to see what's in store for green building in Louisiana as we move forward. Specifically, I am eager to help navigate and implement the strategies set forth in the "Transportation, Development, and the Built Environment" section of this action plan.
